Building Strong Communities Through Technology Education
Main Studio
MATA Community Media's Main Studio is the centerpiece of MCM's facility. Non-profit organizations, youth and school groups, as well as informal gatherings of like-minded citizens work together in crews of four to eight studio certified members to produce some of MCM's most popular and informative community programs.
Our 1,326 square foot Main Studio contains four cameras, a teleprompter, an 18 foot lighting grid and board, microphone input boxes, chroma-key capabilities, a blue screen wall, colored curtains, and enough set space to accommodate a variety of productions. The production crew consists of camera operators, a floor director, and set and lighting crew who all take direction from the director to create coordinated community programs with high production values and relevant, informative content.
The Control Room is connected to MCM's Main Studio and is where all the production activity occurs. A Main Studio television production requires that you shoot and edit at the same time and, if run properly, a program created in the Studio can be available for playback with little or no post-production editing. A crew including a tape operator, teleprompter/CG operator, audio board operator, switcher, and a director work with the crew on the floor of the Studio to coordinate the various timed elements of a Main Studio production.
