Building Strong Communities Through Technology Education
Youth Education Overview
MATA has created the Educational Project, a one-of-a kind media literacy outreach program designed to incorporate computer and video technology into existing classroom curricula.
  • Established in 1997 through a grant from the Helen Bader Foundation.
  • To-date, over 1,200 youth and educators have participated in this program.
  • Participants train on professional camera and editing equipment in a real studio.
  • Students develop necessary life skills, including public speaking and writing, teamwork, and communication.
  • Program coordinators both have earned advanced degrees in Fine Arts and have years of experience teaching students of all ages.
